Saint Louis does not undertake to remove the feudalism, but it decreases the disorder by it; it respects the rights of each one, but it makes respect its authority everywhere: he is the lord of the lords.
He is opposed to the private wars and the legal duels; he gives freedom to many serfs, makes improve the laws by the legists, and makes inspect the royal officers by the investigators.
The industry and the trade, supported by peace, develop quickly; arts and the letters thrive; beautiful cathedrals rise of all share.
The century of Louis saint is the most beautiful time of the Middle Ages.
